Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS) was established in 1995 as a private college and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) aimed at providing educational opportunities that emphasize on the integration of knowledge. From its humble beginnings, KUIS has now emerged as one of the most dynamic Islamic private universities and is fast accelerating towards its mission to become one of the most renowned centres of academic excellence, not only in Malaysia but also recognized internationally.

Fortified with clear mission and vision, KUIS continues to venture forth facing challenges and changes. The philosophy of the integration of knowledge upheld is in line with the policy of the government to develop human capital that would develop the future of the nation.

Inspired by its motto 'The Catalyst of Knowledge Tradition', KUIS offers multi-disciplined programmes through its unique teaching and learning model that enriches and enhances students' skills, values and potential. Among the programmes offered are Islamic studies, business studies, Islamic banking, language and communication, ICT, multimedia, nursing and education.

In its effort to emerge as an elite and dynamic university, KUIS strives to maintain its MS ISO 9001:2008 certification in the teaching and learning scope. The acknowledgement of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status has established the ability of KUIS in providing a higher education service in the field of information technology.

Through an education network within the nation and abroad, KUIS is committed to spearhead the tradition of knowledge excellence particularly through research and development (R&D) activities. It is indeed the sole aim of KUIS to rise as an institution of higher learning of international standards and a pioneer amongst other Islamic private higher learning institutions.

Mode of Studies
Full time only

Entry Requirement (local)
Pass in STPM with at least a full principle in 2 subjects (HPNG 2.00/Gred C) / pass the Matriculation of the Ministry of Higher Learning with CGPA 2.00 / pass the Foundation programme with minimum requirement / relevant Diploma holder with CGPA 2.00 or its equivalent.

Entry Requirement (International)
Candidates must have graduated at least 12 years experience of school with GCE'A' level or its equivalent recognised by MQA.

Programmes Introduction

The objective of this programme is to develop a highly employable professional business analysts and managers. Majors are provided with firm understanding of the economy and its financial systems, the ability to conceptualise business issues, and the opportunity to develop quantitative and computer skills necessary to solve today's complex business problems.
The programme offers a full range of courses in economics and finance. Students can prepare themselves for a broad range of careers and graduate study. The overall overview of the course studies the development f dundemental economic concepts, basic economic institutions and their history, and contemporary econmics isues. The syllabus also covers the supply and demand, markets, gross domestic product (GDP), inflation and recession, and the role of government. Economic issues such as energy, environment, education, and health care are included when approprite. The study of finance will further strengthen the skills and professional values which are essential to he exercise of an economist in the industry or public practice.
